Dream Team of 7 do the impossible

Dream Team of 7 players made up of 3 U11’s, 3 U10 and 1 U9 do the impossible in defeating a genuine full strength Brighton U12 team 6-1. Congrats to Will, Lewis, Zaiden, Blake, Jacob, Ashley and Nicholas. I’ll always remember the look on your parents face before the game. First half formation 2-3-1 with Will lone striker who scored 2. Second half 2-1-2-1 with Blake lone striker who also scored 2. Lewis and Jacob were the other 2 goal scorers. Boys, for that amazing effort, I’m taking you to Sidetracked after the school holidays.

Shipston Reserve 2010

Junior Argonauts play friendly against South Melbourne at Bob Jane Stadium

On Monday the 15 of March Bayside Argonauts Juniors played a friendly against South Melbourne FC  U11’s at Bob Jane Stadium. It was always going to be a challenge to field 4 U11 teams with only 32 players available on the night including our entire U9a Joey team. All the kids played with great spirit and our U11a Kangaroo team had a close game loosing 2:1 to South Melbourne top team considering 5 of our boys played 2 games and were a little tired. Well done kids and thank you to our coaches Tass and Con for doing a fantastic job.

Home Ground Shipston Reserve looking fantastic for season 2010

With a major upgrade completed in Dec 2009 installing a automated sprinkler system using both mains / grey water and 55000 litre water tank, Shipston Reserve is starting to look fantastic. All players from Bayside Argonauts Football Club can look forward to fantastic playing conditions on their home ground for season 2010. Re surfacing in the goal area’s will be finished by late March 2010. Wow. City Wide advises that Shipston Reserve will be one of the best soccer grounds in Bayside by 2011.

Bayside U18 Youth Squad looking for Players

Bayside Argonauts U18 team is looking for 5 players to join the squad which is capped at 15. This team will and is currently training with the Seniors/Reserves with selected players getting the opportunity to play for Seniors/Reserves as well as playing U18’s throughout the season. 8 players already had a taste playing for our Seniors/Reserve in the Casey Comets pre-season Tournament which runs till the end of March. Bayside Argonauts U13c are looking for extra players. This squad is capped at 15 and there are still vacancies. After entering as U12e for the first time last year, this team has jumped straight up to U13c this year after finishing third in 2009. The team has started pre-season training onThursday’s 7pm at Trevor Barker Oval – Beach Rd, Sandringham. Bayside U11’s play at Bob Jane Stadium against South Melbourne

Bayside Argonauts U11a Kangaroos & Joeys play practice games against South Melbourne 3pm this Saturday 6 of March at Bob Jane Stadium – Albert Park. This will be a fantastic experience for the boy’s playing in a 3000 seat stadium. Please Phone Oliver Schulze on 0418443366 for further information.

Youth Argonauts make debut in Seniors

On Saturday the 20 February 2010 six U18 players made their debut in Seniors & Reserves teams. This was a big occasion for the youngsters as it was their first taste of Senior football. Joe Fissher and Chad Golic played for the seniors against provisional 1 team South Yarra which ended in a o:o draw. Alistair Driscol, Alex Steele, Matt Blackwell and Marek Losinski played for the Reserves. Well done boys. Both Senior and Reserves coaches were very impressed and are looking to give all our U18’s the opportunity to play for our Seniors and Reserves in the pre-season Casey Comets Cup and throughout the 2010 season.
